    hmmm.... FF 76,+ GP 6, + (ex)PD 2 = 84 votes,
    + Ind ?? How many voting with Govt now? now Healey Rae and who else?

    edit: (ff 77 TDs in 2007, Seamus Brennan Dec'd, Joe Behan resigned, + Bev Flynn joined =76 - correct?)

    If you look at the debates surrounding the budget (2008) at Houses of the Oireachtas, Parliament of Ireland - Tithe an Oireachtais
    you will see that that the voting ranged between 6-9 of a majority on most occassions.
    That appears to be a moveable feast with Joe Behan supporting on some votes
    and not on others; and Jim Mc Daid Abstaining on the cervical cancer issue.

    The Greens have held their ground; but the Govt has lost Mc Grath's automatic support.

    The Independents consistently supporting the Govt are: Healey Rae and Lowry.

    Not sure about McDaid. Did he lose the FF whip after abstaining on the cervical cancer vote?

    Yes Mc Daid lost the whip cos he refused to support the Cervical Cancer
    vote; but Joe Behan did. like I said the govt are heavily relying on the
    Greens , whom seem not to have wavered on The Programme for Government.

    I believe that deputy Mc Grath no longer votes with the Government;
    but there's no statement to that effect save round budgetary debates.
