They are not withdrawing anything. The vaccine had been planned to be introduced but has been long fingered because of the fiscal situation. This isn't a death sentence for anyone as hyterical posters like jmcc would have you believe. The screening program for this is being rolled out irregardless.

This is showboating from and empty and philosophically vacant opposition.

That is one awful post defeated romanticist, have a look at the Health Information & Quality Authority (HIQA) report on this Vaccine. The screening program will try and detect pre-cancerous cells that show the virus that causes the cancer is present, the vaccine will PREVENT this.

Have you ever heard of "prevention is better than cure"?? 6 cent on a packet of 20 fags would raise enough money for this vaccine!

McDaid doesn't care if he loses the whip, he's totally disillusioned with the the FF party after the amalgamation with the Blaney camp in Donegal.

His abstaining highlights the inadequacies in the whip system in this country. I'm pretty sure he wanted to vote against the government, but couldn't because he'd be kicked out of the party.

TDs should be allowed to vote whatever way they want, that'd be real democracy.

Ahh right...so that rules out pretty much anyone not on a 6 figure income from getting a critical vaccine?

Imagine if they did this with the MMR or hepititus vaccines...

I'd like to see you explain this one to my two daughters.

Amazing how those poor downtrodden people in the six counties can have the vaccine while those of us in the liberated zone have to endure Zanu-FF thievery at the expense of young girls.

You'd certainly be popular in N.I. if you continued with Bertie's fantasy of organising up there.

You should be proud of yourselves.

that criminal Jim McDaid? That drunk driver Jim Mcdaid?

Why is anyone shocked that he would act in such a pathetic gombeen backward cowardly manner. It's nothing more than a disgusting bit of politicking. He should have been kicked out of FF but now he should resign the whip and sit with the INdos. If he has any balls.

It's a bit late at night...

but does anyone doubt for a second that if we went to the DOF website now and pulled up a copy of the budget we could find at least 20 stupid things in there that could easily be cut to make room for this?
