A question for people to think about for a few days before deciding to answer.

Is the silly billy madness about the med cards over 70's a coy ploy, admitting high risk one, from Biffo designed to flush out disloyal members off his party so he can build up from the bottom in his own formula.... after all, he does not know them as well as Berty did and he surley needs to know where every one stands. Just a thoughts no rush out to answer back
Advances in any field are built upon people with the small or personal view. Give Israel Your support, it needs it.

Every one sees what you appear to be, few really know what you are, and those few dare not oppose themselves to the opinion of the many, who have the majesty of the state to defend them.

Not quite. There is too much at risk. If anything this is turning into a powerplay. It may be resolved later this morning.

I decided to wait for 3 seconds before I answered....no.... unless he wanted to flush out disloyal party members while incidentally pissing off every major lobby group in the country.

More to the point.
There is a 10 billion short fall in the public finances.
Saving 100 million by depriving OAP's of their medical card is going to to make FA difference.
Real, hard, decisions need to be made and implemented PDFQ.
When will the man who rose without a trace get around to dealing with this infinetly more pressing issue?

Its only a chat, we ain't the world council.
In 2000 the Women's Institute in Britain gave Tony Blair the slow hand clap to demonstrate their contempt.
It was dignified, restrained and effective.Doesn't Bertie deserve the same scorn. No shouting, no abuse, no agression just a relentless slow clap whenever he speaks in public would be enough to end that man's presidential fantasy.

No the risk is to great, he has lost already,he should have given in on the 9 0 clock 0 clock news on Friday and it would be over by now. He cannot win now even if he abolishes the means test now the papers will crucify him and if he does not and let the old age pensioners fill Kildare St on Weds. day the papers on Thursday will finish him off. Think of old people with walking aids and sticks. John Brutons tax on shoes will be forgotten about.
