What seats can Fianna Fail hold in 2012

The economy is in free fall, runs on Irish banks are only barely being held back, unemployment is increasing at cataclysmic rates, the airports are again filling up with young people seeking work overseas, the government are proposing to tax us of us left in jobs into poverty (increase income tax, carbon tax on petrol, €4500 per year to park your car at work, etc), the NDP is all but cancelled outside Dublin, the health system becoming more lethal by the day, multinationals fleeing the country leaving devastated towns and cities behind them, etc, etc, etc

Anyone want to speculate on which seats are safe for Fianna Fail at the next election and how many others (if any) they will hold on to.

My bet is Biffo is safe but after that everything is up for grabs even the previously bullet proof ones like General O'Dea.

The problem is, Zanu-FF can do whatever they want, the dumb paddys will still vote for them. Smart people are getting out, its like the famine, thats why FF will always be strong here.

depressingly, they'll probably always have their 2 seats in Donegal SW, 3 in Laois-Offaly etc, etc. No amount of economic uncertainty seems likely to change this

The irony is that the constitunencies that get screwed over the most by FF are the ones most likely to blindly vote FF. A bit like the way those backward redneck states always go Republican even though it's blatantly obvious the Republicans care about nothing but Wall St. and the corporations.

Your loyalty to your new party is a good start, but it will need to be tweaked somewhat. But FF should be able to hold their seats, but gains may be less likely.
