    Calamity Coughlin

    Worst Tanaiste ever?

I have never seen a FF minister with such an air of incompetence about him/her as calamity does (and that really is quite a difficult task when you consider some of the contenders). And it's not just the Spain has two EU commissioners thing or the fact she doesn't even know how much she earns. I will always remember how pathetically she clung on to the creation of 99 new jobs in the Shannon area and publicly gave herself a huge pat on the back. Of course in the same week hundreds of workers in other areas were being redundant but surely that's not a good reason to miss out on a good propaganda tour of the west. Calamity Coughlin badly needed a victory somewhere, even a miniscule one in Shannon and by god she was going to get herself some credit for it somehow.

Worst anti-ff thread ever? A minister for employment at announcement of new jobs - shocker.
We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns — the ones we don't know we don't know.

Does anyone here think that Mary Coughlan would be able to explain the sub-prime crisis to someone?

But what? But not when those who you dislike are elected? But not when it doesn't work out for you?
