    FF: The Haughey/Colley legacy

Just wondering, given the day that's in it, are there any senior players still within FF who would be considered to be in the Colley rather than the Haughy side of the party? The only one I can come up with is Seamus Brennan.

Has the party moved so far in the years since then that a return to a Lynch style leader is out of the question?

Haughey's main legacy was the legitimisation of corruption among the Fianna Fail grassroots.

Not as low as FF standards I'm afraid. It will remain.

With Ahern gone, Seamus Brennan to presumably retire soon (he was a Lynch Gen Sec. of the party at the time) , the Haughey era is now at an end.

Haughey and his many political achievements is/are now a matter of history.
Ahern's will take a while yet.

I'm sorry if I offended you. Would you prefer I lied?

Haughey is a byword for corruption in politics. Fianna Fail members have stretched beyond recognition the definition of corruption in their vain attempts to defend Haughey. Let's hope the next leader of Fianna Fail has the decency to leave this era of Fianna Fail behind them. Three consecutive leaders with sullied records is a sad reflection.

Three FFleaders forced out of the office of Taoiseach---some record. Bet no other country in the European Union can equal that.
