    So Monte is really Leo?

Seriously though, the section on bots is rather simplistic as it is like legislation to ban spamming without realising that most of the spam originates outside the state.

    Nope.
I want to see the EU ended as political entity and a reversion to its first ambition of a free trading group.

However it is plain that Brexiteers did not understand fully the implications of the decision and were fed many lies via social media etc.

Why should the Internet be seen as something special outside all law and all regulation?

A society without laws and regulations on important channels of communication is a society that is doomed.

Doomed to be controlled and manipulated by sinister forces that feed on lies and deception.

That should be of some concern to you.

I would argue that it was a fine example of a country making the right decision despite poorly and in many cases wrongly informed internet media claims and propaganda.

And hopefully Ireland will make the correct decision and lose the 8th despite all the dishonesty and machinations online of those who style themselves "pro-life"....

Then there's hope for you yet.

Why should the Internet be seen as something special outside all law and all regulation?
It isn't. And that's at the heart of the problem with this legislation. Some of it seeks to impose "Irish" regulations on activities outside of Irish jurisdiction.

A society without laws and regulations on important channels of communication is a society that is doomed.
    There are laws.

Doomed to be controlled and manipulated by sinister forces that feed on lies and deception.
Like the financial traitors who claimed that the IMF wasn't in town when its people were walking down the streets of Dublin? Like the low-brow commentariat in the "news" papers telling people what they should think? Like the traitors who sold out the Irish people to their owners and cronies? The scum in politics are far more dangerous and immediate threat to Ireland than these "sinister forces".

Not trivial no, but something is either true and provably so or it isn't.

Fake opinions are always welcome as they would need to be if 90% of the P.ie population aren't to be silenced forever, the poor dears.
