I see Timmy Dooley's twitter handle is:

Humble servant to the people of Clare
I guess he has a lot to be humble about.

He's already outed himself as a total wally. Swooning over the idea of visiting the actual set of scenes in a crappy, lowbrow romcom, when a quick google would have informed him that the scenes in question were filmed in a film studio. He's an embarrassing wuss.

I agree (and next come the roars accusing me of being a FF shill - sigh).

I would like an Irish PM to walk into 10 Downing Street without being thrilled to be there, to get down to serious business and not be seen to be a sweet kid in a sweet shop.

    Seriously.

Usually when anyone describes themselves as 'humble', they are anything but. They are usually arrogant, hubristic and ferociously ambitious. Remember Uriah Heap from Dickens who described himself as 'ever so 'umble m'lord'.

Well at least you're focused on the Important Stuff. Good woman!

How did you find the reports of the actual substance of the meeting or were you too busy fixating on a throwaway remark?

Happens all the time, but usually gets no media attention. Somewhere, there's a clip of Hillary Clinton in NI making a joke about a museum in Belfast being called after a ship that sank. Her quip went down faster than the said ship.
