Policy Committees and the "Gang of 16"

    Hi
People will remember in the early summer of 2006 there was a mini-revolt by John Mcguinness, Noel O'Flynn, Barry Andrews, Johnny Brady (who subsequently denied his involvement and denounced the move) and others in FF, the so-called "Gang of 16" who felt that backbench TDs had Zero input into party policy.

They were eventually bought off with some sop move by Ahern, who set up two or three committees within the parliamentarty party.

What I was wondering recently is, what became of these committees? Have they met? Made any reports? Policies? Conclusions?
There hasn’t been a word about it in the media since the original controversy blew up

Internal FF discussion is generally kept that way.
