NCB Bertie digout was "donation" to Fianna Fail

Don't know if there is a thread on this already.

Heard it on morning ireland this morning.

Bertie was on the Telly last night.
He was asked what he thought about O'Connor denying he was a personal friend of Bertie.
Bertie smiled foolishly, and replied along the lines of 'I thought we were friends'.

    Now, come off it.
    We all have friends.
We have old friends we have grown apart from.
And we may have friends we fell out with, and aren't friends with anymore.

Bertie and O'Connor are neither of those things. Its getting ludicrous at this stage.

Padraic O’Connor - I was not a close personal friend. Since I left NCB eight years ago, I suppose I met Mr Ahern once or twice.

Bertie Ahern - The second thing, I thought Padraic O’Connor was a really good friend of mine. If he’s changed his mind, I can’t do anything about that.

    Utter nonsense.
With this logic, everyone is your friend, as mollox pointed out yesterday.
Ben Dunne and Lowry were definitely friendlier than Bertie and O'Connor, and look what happened there.

    I don't believe a word of it.

The real problem for Bertie is that he keeps giving explanations for things that are 25% likely.

But 25% repeated 20 times is (apparently) 0.000000000091% likely.

    It's just completely unsustainable.

Bertie and Ned O'Keefe are friends according to BA yesterday.

Is there any FF people here? I'd love to know their opinion on certain people robbing from their party?

Charlie Chawke and Jim Nugent are up next Friday. They're two of the other Bertiegate donor's?

Actually all the donors or their survivors are due up next week.
