    Michael Ahern mocks Ned O'Keeffe

Just like when Israel says its want peace with the Palestinians and Hamas, the opposite is the real truth.

And just like Ml Aherns statement this morning that he would welcome back Ned O'Keeffe, the opposite is the real truth.

Ml Aherns statement is a display of victory and an assertion of superiority.
Cowardice asks the question - is it safe? Expediency asks the question - is it politic?
Vanity asks the question - is it popular? But Conscience asks the question - is it right?
And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular;but one must take it simply because it is right. -MLK

Nothing wrong in people who stay loyal welcoming back those who don't.

If O'Keeffe had any real moral courage he wouldn't have stood for FF in the General Election. Government health policy hasn't changed in the last 7 days.

    He'll be back.

I mean it's not like it was a FF minister he refused to support. FF will understand because it wasn't a direct insult to the family.

By the same token.. if the Greens had any moral courage, they shouldn't have coalesced with FF after the election.. Government health policy hasn't changed in the last 7 months

It's a laugh all these Fianna Fáilers trying to get Ned back onboard. If he hadn't resigned they'd be organising a Parliamentary Party meeting today in order to expel him from the PP.

Even good people have to know who’s the boss, but they’re still good people.

    Its not the same token.

Entering a coalition based on a compromise Programme for Government is not the same as resigning from a party out of poltical expediency whilst claiming dissatisfaction with polices you have helped to implement over a 10 year period.
