32 county FF - Now, the next steps.

An Taoiseach Bertie Ahern TD and President of Fianna Fáil has announced at the annual Fianna Fáil Wolfe Tone commemoration a widespread discussion process within Fianna Fáil on the exact mechanisms, timing etc. of the development of the party in to the six northern counties.

As part of the process every Cumann, Comhairle Ceantair and Comhairle Dáil Cheantair will meet in special session to discuss the move.

Each body will report back to the Ard Ard Chomhairle before Easter 2009.

It's great to see the conditions on this island that allow such a historic move to take place. The men who sealed the proclaimation of the Irish Republic with their blood would be proud to see it.
