The best advice is the choice you're always mentioning yourself - ABFF.

I wouldn't imagine that any party other than Fianna Fail would want you as a member, or even a supporter - Ogthing - even Sinn Féin tends to draw the line at recruiting idiots.

Do Fianna Fáil seem like a party that has the slightest interest in cleaning up it's act, or a delusional rump fanatically dreaming of getting the gravy train flowing again. Hoping against hope and reason, that the public will forgive or at least forget.
I vote for the second option.

Parties in Government are always to busy and too inward looking to propose this sort of stuff, instead it's what good oppositions do. Whether it gets through or not is another matter.
But the government parties should be criticised if they vote down good legislation by rote, simply because it is ff who proposes it. They won't. It will simply be seen as part of the game. It's no wonder the Dail is so weak.

No one would be as discomfited as FF and their party old guard if this bill actually made it onto the books.

There was no legislation on lobbying while they were in power? Therefore how could they it ignore it! Doh!

It would be. It's a good law. The source of it is irrelevant.

I suspect the rat Collins is putting this forward in the anticipation that it will be defeated, but they can then claim they "tried".

Why do you anticipate that if will be defeated? Should those who defeat it not be considered as rats?

First I'd like to see a public register of Fianna Fail members.

It would be good to know who these people are in light of what their government did to our country.
