Both he and Dempsey had their credibility completely shot by that nodding donkey routine on RTE news.

That probably prompted the standing down more than illness.

Ahern had also denied point blank on TWIP that a bailout was being negotiated.

Then Dempsey had "triators" (sic) scrawled on his constituency office. The writing was literally ( albeit incorrectly spelled ) on the wall for him.

Maybe if Dermot and co. ran the country for the citizens and not a banking and business elite, he wouldn't have reason to feel so bad..

Aherne has a point...a persons home and family should not be brought into the mix.

I have no time for the Fianna fail politicians and despise their gombeen mentality...but even less time for the people before profit brigade.

Now look Dermosh..you was in a very well paid job..an has a very generous pension...don't expect us to feel sorry for you ....

Feel sory for the ordinary workrer who has to leave work because of unreasonable stress and has no golden handshake or generous pension to fall back on.

As far as I can see, this useless hack and his pals wrecked the economy and enriched themselves and their cronies. How much of a fat damned pension will he get for the rest of his life? I doubt he's worried sick wondering how he's going to balance his accounts each month. He got off lightly-in any other country he'd have been extremely fortunate to have gone into exile with the shirt on his back.

As always the class on p.ie will out and we'll get pages on the evil of FF and the usual hollow empathy with those who "suffered". Of course the family are fair game. After all they are guilty by association.

My friend was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis last year.
She can barely walk and is housebound for weeks on end.
All she has is her medical card and the dole because she is unable to work.
Social welfare rejected her claim for disability. Her doctor was shocked.
    She is appealing the decision.

The process has so far taken 8 months.

And here we have poor old Dermo on a 6 figure pension and enough money to access to the best private healthcare!
Do us a favour and ************************ off Dermot!

I thought the bootboy from Dundalk promised to go and do some "charity" work in his retirement. I suppose the invented "illness" prevented him.

In other words let me enjoy my fat pension, huge bonus and one off severance payment in peace.

_ We must admire People Before Profit for their voluntary efforts in protesting against these crooks who sold out our sovereignty for their gross ill gotten pensions.
