    Robert Troy Gombeen

The Week in Politics just featured a clip of Robert Troy FF TD for Longford-Westmeath literally frothing at the mouth in the Dáil. He was responding to government accusations of FF having hiked up social welfare in order to buy elections ( the correct analysis ).

Troy screamed that "we did it because we have a strong social conscience and I'm tired as a member of Fianna Fáil of being looked down on like something you'd step on in the street"

Incredible gombeenism from Troy but he was stoutly defended by Niall Collins TD in the studio.
Breathing new life into Fianna Fáil is like breathing new life into the Black and Tans.

The 3 new FF TDs (Troy, McConologue, Barry Cowen) have kept very quiet so far.
Barry Cowen is damned by his name to be kept in the background.
The other two TDs and several new senators (e.g Averil Power) may be wheeled out on the basis that they have no association with the past.
If they are now ready, this may be the start of something regular.

They're like squealing pigs. Any FFer is scum in my opinion.

Collins is the worst of the lot. It almost ruined my election to see him get in.
Unenthusiastic about any of the buggers.

I am FF. Would you mind telling me who you voted for in last three general elections ?
First they ignore me, then they ridicule me, then they fight me. Then I win

He's sick and tired of FF being accused of boying elections- Never heard of things like Meehaul Matin's free medical cards for over 70s that included likes of Sir AJ Reilly, how much is social welfare here compared to across the border. Wonder how this this little Republica become a haven for hores who came to our shores. Troy you must remember is Mama O Rourke's/ Donie Cassidy's replacement, what a love child.
FF under mighty mouse Seamus Brennan in social welfare extended free travel to millionaires over 66 at peak times and unrestricted.

By the way useless McCullough asked Bruton and Joe Higgins about payment to bondholders, but never gave Niall Collins the chance of making an ass of himself. in saying he probably opposed it after FFers signing up to it. Shambles of a programme.
