FF supporters could say the same of their party. We could have had a FF/Green government if the Greens had agreed to FF's terms, but the reverse is also true.
Exactly. All FF had to do was to agree to stop building roads and get Brian Cowan to marry David Norris.
    Quite the wit, aren't you?

    Ah no!

FF supporters don't even begin to comprehend the meaning of the word "principle".

We could have had an FF/Green Government if Bertie had agreed to meet Trevor this afternoon.

He was asked twice- by Brian Cowen.

Bertie chose to force the issue, and force the Greens to cancel meeting in The Mansion House.

We'll find out on Thursday what "the cleverest, most cunning, most devious of them all" is really up to.
"Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest." Mark Twain

“When a government is dependent upon bankers for money, they and not the leaders of the government control the situation, since the hand that gives is above the hand that takes. Money has no motherland; financiers are without patriotism and without decency; their sole object is gain.” Napoléon Bonaparte

I got wind of that yesterday, Mary was never going to help Enda.
Oh course not, helping someone like that become Taoiseach would be the final nail in the PD coffin.

You ignorant moron. Wanna explain your "two-seat-gain" theory to us again?

The majority cannot therefore be the elite.

Just so I understand this, the Green party refused a deal with FF because they are principled, and FF refused a deal with the Greens because FF are unprincipled?

The PDs have had that final nail in their coffin since the 24 of May. They are voting for Aherne in the full knowledge that they will in the course of the incoming government reassimilate into the mother party FF. Harney has no appetite to lead the PDs for the full term and thus lead the remnants into the next election. Does anyone believe the invisable man from Galway is suitable or capable of leadership, not a chance. The PDs will be the mudguard for FF and it is a poor reflection on Harney that she is willing to destroy her own reputation to keep Aherne in Government. How is it that a party like FF are unable to find one suitable candidate to fill the role of Min. For Health.

I'm not Kenny's biggest fan, but the PDs shouldn't rule anything out. The PDs supporting Kenny is not the worst possible outcome, considering an alternative is a government supported by Sinn Féin.
The standard of excellence is an infinite suggestiveness, naturalism is the one thing to be condemned.

Bertie does not want to changes horses in mid-stream. He believes Harney is doing a good job at Health and wants to give her the time to complete her reforms.
