Conor Lenihan next Minister for Foreign Affairs?

Word from Drumcondra is that given CL's poll topping performance he is to be rewarded by being appointed as Minister for Foreign Affairs.

    What about Dermot Ahern?
Liquidate labour, liquidate stocks, liquidate the farmers, liquidate real estate.

I would have thought Mansergh would have been handed Foreign Affairs.

I’m sure Conor would love to be a full Minister and I think he’d do a great job in Foreign Affairs, but I think you are mistaken.

Mansergh probably didn't do well enough to justify full ministerial position. Anyway, haven't heard bout him. Dermot Ahern to justice is one of the possiblities being mentioned.

I seriously doubt that any one from "Drumcondra" is leaking who will get what in fact I'd say no one has made a decision yet and won't until after coalition option is sorted.

I'd also think he would make a great Minister for Foreign Affairs building on his achievements in Irish Aid which don't get half the attention they deserve.

The guy is an idiot who should have been sacked for his kebabs comments.

He can't even look after himself, he had a growth growing on his face that he thought would disappear if he ignored it. Luckily for him he was on The Late Late Show before Christmas and a doctor saw the growth on his face and rang him to warn him about it. He then got it removed.

Mansergh may be a new TD but he has sat in on more cabinet meetings than many of the current crop. I'd expect he will get a seat at the table.

    What a funny comment

But since the kebab scenarios he has been a good man in actual fact :!:

The Kebabs comment was indeed a slip up but one off the cuff comment shouldn't shadow the work he has done in his ministry.

As for the growth your comments are extremely ignorant. He wasn't on the Late Late show he was on Prime Time it wasn't a doctor but a consultant who specialises in the area and as someone who knows him personally I couldn't see any difference before or after.
