Micheál Martin Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment (2004–08) Record?

    Hi
Micheál Martin Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment (2004–08) Record?
As Mr Martin is now running for the highest office in the land
More scrutiny needs to be put on some of the decisions he made as minister for Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment (2004–08)

There appears to be not much on discussion on this period of his time in office
Surely after minister for finance and Pm he is most to blame for the collaspe

    He would have seen

    • Too many people employed In Construction

    • Trade imbalance that developed
    • Too much GDP in construction

What did he do about it?
What did he do all day in this ministry?
He has just as much cupablity as Cowen for the property crash
and failure to regulate construction and immigration?

This needs to be brought up in debates
Its a knock out punch it was his job to regulate and run the labour force
and he over the course of 4 years allowed the construction sector to boom
    out of size.

    Discuss?
Anyone have any good info on mistakes and inteed good things he did in this
    period?

How he has managed to re-brand himself seeing as he held this dept is beyond me, The opposition need to nail him on this?

    Indeed.

This fella was the minister in charge of the industrial economy for the four years up until the crash/soft landing.

I wonder where he appears in that Irish Mail pack of cards?

He oversaw FAS spending €1 billion a year while we had full employment.
