O'Reilly tops the poll for F.F. Nat Exec Co-Option

Following the Com of 20 vote at the recent Ard Fheis Cllr. Shane P.O'Reilly lost out on the re-count by one vote, having been elected on Sat night with 13 of a surplus, we felt very annoyed by the defeat and he decided to run for the Co-Option, to those who are wondering how things went last night in Leinster House I am pleased to let you know that our man is back and topped the poll in doing so, others elected for the remaing 2 seats where Michael Freeman and Cllr. Deirdre Forde.

The National Executive has actually 4 co-option places and one goes to David Andrews as an honourary place on the executive followed by 3 others voted on by the members to act on the executive. The committee of 20 is voted on by the grassroots and then the co-option places are filled by votes of the members of the executive who they feel best will contribute to the running of the party.

I don't think members of the party would say that, but whatever you're into yourself.

Well done to Shane P. Was surprised when he didn't get in on the committee of 20. Who are the other two. Haven't heard of either but that could be just me.
