Leading GAA figure possible FF runner in bye election?

Heard a rumour that FF are attempting to line up a leading waterford gaa figure to run in up coming bye election.If true and he accepts nomination it'd make things very interesting as he's universally respected and I could see him going very well given FF strong core vote and the transfers he'd attract.Could put a serious spanner in the works for FG who were counting this as a shoe in.Anyone else hear anything?

Wasn't a cousin of Brendan Keneally running in the Local Elections? (She failed to get elected and Gary Wyse accidentally won.) The biggest mistake FF made in Waterford was letting Mary Roche go independent because of the tweedledumb and tweedledumber nature of FF candidate selection. So who's the proposed FF candidate then?
