I think we all going to get to know Cllr Ciaran Brogan well in the future, apparently the local FF are grooming him to be Dr James McDaids successor. ("Now remember Ciaran, when on duel carriageways drive in THIS direction . . . .") He was also one of the ringleaders in the famous FF - Donegal Co Co budget stroke earlier this year. But then again, what do you expect in Banjo Country. The land of Mary C. YEEEHAAAAAAAAAWWWW

I'm going to hold judgement until I know how it came about. The exact specifics and beyond what's in Iris Oifigiuil.

Here’s the smug handsome FF / Cllr developer himself, being interviewed by one of his female admirers.

This is highly embarrasing for Mr Brogan and his party especially in the present climate, with so many people unemployed and the state coffers so bare of cash inflow,im sure Mr Brogan charged VAT on sales but he failed to declare and pass on this vat to revenue. How greedy considering he gets 50 to 80k a year from the state for his political duties.
He is at least consistant with his party'strack record, take take and take more.
Are you sure it was VAT on Sales? Maybe it on the clawback of input VAT claimed when developing a property?

Yes it seems the whole deal re appointments to the vec and all other bodies as agreed in pact deal between ff and others at the council agm, is now off and a new set of elections is about to happen.
This will cause even more problems for the FF team as they will loose control of many vital quango's.
Oddly Mr Brogans former employer and supporter Hugh Mc Gee is also starting to uncrumble.
