What point are you trying to make?
"Elite - a small superior group; esp one that has a power out of proportion to its size." (Oxford English Dictionary)

The majority cannot therefore be the elite.

She's trying to take a damaging thread off topic. She has form in this area.

She's actually quite good at it.

    Ah yes - well spotted.

For so long as FF's best electoral weapon is still alive & well, as it obviously is as demonstrated by your post, they will always be in with shout at election time.

Here's an interesting question. How does 80 years of elections with a 75% first time failure rate & a 100% re-election failure rate engender a sense of superiority?
    no pasaran!

    So tell me:
    a) do you consider yourself one of the ones I refer to when I talk about brain-dead Fianna Fáilers, or would you say you belong to another category of member?
    b) do you have anything of worth to contribute to the topic of this thread?

P.S.: I'm neither a member nor a supporter of Fine Gael.

    A "damaging" thread?

A few heads batting the breeze? Would you ever cop on to yourself.

Would you like to make a comment on the subject of the thread?

e.g. Is it of overweaning importance to you that a Fianna Fáil Taoiseach take the salute at any 1916 Centenary in front of the GPO? It would be informative if you could give your reasons.

Do you think your lot would have a better chance of recovery if they were to call an election now, or would it be preferable from a strategic point of view to hold on as long, or almost as long as possible? It would be informative if you could give your reasons.

I consider myself an "average" FF'er.

Pointing out that the mind set of the parties of opposition is and always has been FF's best hope of election, is I think worthwhile in a thread on their chances of re-election + I consider hitting you on the head to be a worthwhile contribution on any thread.

Fair enough. Your incisive points have been noted appropriately.

But when do you think Fianna Fáil should go to the people?
