    Interesting re Brendan Mansfield:

    AN SEAN PHOBAL: 2008-03-23

The wreath on behalf of Sinn Féin was laid by Sinead Crotty Dungarvan and on behalf of Óglaigh na hÉireann by Cllr Brendan Mansfield
So he laid the wreath on behalf of the IRA... whilst a Sinn Féin laid a separate wreath

What a question to ask.To the best of my knowledge neither are convicted of terrorist (as you term it) offences.Regardless, were Hanafins actions proper?Mansfield gathered almost 1000 first preference votes at the last election. As a common courtesy to a fellow politican surely she could have spared a few moments to engage with him.

grandson of Mick Mansfield of Old Parish, leader of the IRA in West Waterford in the 1920’s. You really should put it in context.Easter commemoration. There myself that day.In 2009 in Fourmilewater a FF candidate was MC and shared a platform with Joe Reilly SF.Very sinister occassions indeed.

If say... a bundle of cannibals elected someone from the Cannibals Party .. that wouldn't legitimize either the cannibals or their representative

It's not clear if either man is a convicted terrorist , however as per previous link, Mansfield represented himself as IRA rather than SF

Also one of their candidates down there is a convicted terrorist

    City East Ward:

Contesting the seat in the City East ward is long-standing Republican Bill Hayes. Bill is living in Collins Ave with his partner Helen. He is the chairperson of the estates Residents Association. Bill is a former republican prisoner

News flash, SF members past convictions on terrorist offences. You seem to hold very dangerous views in my opinion.Your scenario is far fetched but il engage with it anyway. If cannibals elected a cannibal to represent them Id find it unfortunate such a illness(maybe? problem, not sure the right word to use) existed in this country. I would however still expect other elected representitives to engage with that person. And your attempt to link SF with such a scenario isnt half as clever as you may think yourself.
You seem to hold a view that there is a class of people who can be looked down upon and their views ignored. Nobody has the right to treat another individual in such a manner, especially when those 2 individuals are elected representatives of the people of county Waterford.Ive answer your questions without dodging them as claimed, now you answer mine. Was the action of Hanafin in snubbing 2 councillors proper?

    Can I ask you a question .

Did the two Cllrs in question request a meeting with the Minister ? or did they demand to talk to her ?

Everyone who is elected knows the protocal in the democratic system how Government works and how to meet a Minister .
