Janey Mack, I hope the cars in that raffle don't go missing like at the one at Fás
We all love animals. Why do we call some 'pets' and others 'dinner'?

This is the argument that is often made for Communist parties and parties in Africa. The opposition will be within the party. It doesn't work and it quickly leads to a dictatorship. One man or group of people will inevitably take control of the leadership and with that the structures of the party.

You need a multi-party system for democracy and history has shown us that. Really it's like everything, you need competition.
If a one party state is a dictatorship then we are already there. At least with my suggestion we can stop pretending that there is an opposition and get on with trying to exert change where it can be felt, i.e. in FF.
Watching George Lee on Pat Kenny last night and listening to some of the excellent comments from the audience made me realise how FG are just FF without even the responsibility of power. Lee left because none of the red-faced sh1tbags in the Dail do a stroke and he couldn't take it anymore. The current system ensures that change is IMPOSSIBLE. The mainstream of FG wants real change in Irish politics as much as FF does.

The corrupt FFers have nothing to laugh about with Lee's departure. Everything that shows to the public how rotten our system is, is a nail in the coffin for all the civil war obsessed drunks around the country pretending to run a country when in fact they take a couple of calls a day from constituents looking for planning permission. The whole thing needs to be pulled apart and wrecking FF from the inside of one sure way.

i think FF lost their soul around the time they kicked out Kevin Boland. They are still way ahead of the blueshirts and labour but really need to get back to republican politics
