Committee Cowen: how many reviews, commissions, special projects has Cowen set up?

The man appears incapable to making a decision without having a committee telling him what to do. Why make a decision when it can be deferred?
    Examples (please add more):
    1. An Bord Snip. Why delegate such review to an economist? Are minister not supposed to be the people looking after the taxpayers interest and secretary generals not supposed to run efficient depts?
    2. Commission on taxation. Again should not the system be: input from political debate +political leadership + experts in finance = decision on taxes.
3.Bringing Fianna Fail into 21st century through review of structure. Chaired by...wait for it... Gerry Collins.

    The ones that got away
    A) cowen wanted to refer the decision to scrap e-voting machines to an oireachtas committee. The minister for the environment just got on with it.
    B) cowen wanted to refer Jo'D's expenses to an oireachtas committee instead of meeting the party leaders.
    Will he learn his lesson?

The Programme for Government uses the word "Review" 40 times!

All of these guys learned their trade in the days of the Bertie Bloat, where no hard decisions were needed, it was just a round of ribbon cutting and handshaking.

They're Champagne Charlies, incapable of changing their ways.

Hardly necessary - It's clearly dysfunctional and beyond redemption.

    Just scrap it

Cowen has just agreed to establish a review of the policy of establishing reviews for everything before taking any action. It will report after the next election.
Cowen is like an elected Sir Humphrey. The one thing he shows any passion for is Nama - a bailout for developers (now confirmed by the business plan) and bankers. FF's hereditary TD policy has produced a developer-loving imbecile as our ruler.

Are you sure there wasn't a Tribunal which gave him the authority to have agreed to establish a review - or is there FF precedent? As his dear 2 I/C might say - 'It's important to note...' or 'it's a matter which will be decided by the T...'
