Minister refuses to quit over seeking early release of paedo

Labour Affairs Minister Tony Killeen today refused to resign after it emerged that his Co Clare constituency office sent two letters to the Minister for Justice urging that a convicted child rapist be freed.

This is a disgrace one because it has not been fully reported on, I only heard about it oin newstalk today and I found it on this this link also.

It is also a disgrace to ask for an early release of a child rapist just because he was attacked in Jail, and beause of his age.

He is claiming that it was his staff misunderstood him and that it was a clerical error, this seems to be passing the buck to me, the buck stops with him and he should resign

King Kane makes a valid point on the other thread concerning this regarding the criticism that was made of the FG TD over a similar 'faux pas'. It is not being given the same reportage. Killeen, as a Minister should be made give a full explanation to the Dáil of exactly why he beleived that this piece of sh*t deserved his representations. Surely any TD with an ounce of sense or integrity would have told whoever it was to fk off?

Can we keep this to the one thread lads? Though to be honest I can't find the other one for the moment. Hold off on further posts until I post the link here.
