We missed the boat on the last four referenda.
Why in hell did we vote for something we didn't understand and, worse still, believed Dick Roche and his fellow gangsters in FF.
We are now stuck in the mire and voting NO, if or when there is another referendum, is madness.
We have already lost all autonomy so what have we left to lose next time. ?
For goodness sake, forget the revenge on the damn politicians and start thinking for ourselves ( remember thinking) well lets start practicing thinking NOW.
We are in the drink, lets just keep swimming.

It's very hard to keep swimming when somebody has their jackboot on your head to keep you under!

    You can say that again....

Our Foreign Minister said Ireland had sought changes in the draft to avoid a vote by the Irish people in a referendum. The Taoiseach says Ireland did no such thing.

Now Germany's Europe Minister steps in:

So Kenny caught lying again. There seems to be a pattern.

Indeed if he had claimed to have gone for a leak at 10 and been caught actually going in at 10.05 he'd be lying too and it would be reported widely. This really is an obsession in some parts.

For the truth? Citizens are funny like that, they don't like lies from their elected leaders. Maybe you accept lies, some citizens in Ireland accept lower standards, as seen in their shoulder shrugging as FF destroyed the country.

Lies come in different sizes and we all lie in some form, however small. I don't obsess over them nor expect puritanical observance of the truth from anyone. In the main the tracking of such alleged lies usually suits an agenda or a state of mind. I have absolutely no issue with the EU or Ireland looking to see if a referendum can be avoided.
