It's not a private vendetta, Catalpa. It's quite public. And I don't need to meet you to know that I don't like you, as I don't like racist scumbags (which you demonstrably are) as a rule.

So what are your views on Mr Ali Babacan's presentention then?

I mean I take you are interested in what he is about?
Hey brains. I wasn't at the presentation, and it's not online, so how could I have an opinion on it.

Interestingly, though, you haven't said a single thing to say about his presentation either, even though you were apparently privy to it. You've just told us about how you tried to press your crackpot 'opinions' on him afterwards. Which was fascinating, in a car crash kind of way, but didn't say a single thing about Babacan's presentation (not that anyone should have any respect for your opinions in the first place).

Also, does anyone understand the point of questions like this?

For the Green Party, Councillor Deirdre de Búrca questioned Mr Babacan on Turkey’s strong military relationship with the United States. She wondered where Turkey would stand, after accession, if the interests of the US and the EU were to diverge.

Figures are always contentious, better stand in Nth Gt Georges St, Dublin 1 for a convincer.

Speaking of Georges. Whatever happened to Georgedillon. GD?
The truth is incontrovertible, malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end; there it is.

He tired of being a figure of fun and ridicule, said his goodbyes, and left.

    I miss him.
Nothing will motivate the lazy / apathetic / Americanised / west-British types to embrace their culture and the Irish language.
