Do you expect that you should be imprisoned for standing up on issues pertinent to women?

If you imagine that a theocracy known for violent putdown of dissenting voices, including those of women writers,
intellectuals, activists, film-makers and journos is not utilising that exact type of repression against its guests such

Women get far worse treatment than men in prison in Iran. They are expected to know their place by the mad misogynist mullahs who run the joint. How anyone with even a passing interest in women's rights or equality cannot feel anger at the treatment of female prisoners in Iran is beyond me.

    Dot:

Do you realize that there would nt have been much difference in Iran if the opposition of Ahmedinijad had won the elections?

People are angry at Ahmedinijad because he is nothing but a loose canon and hot gas... He has nt changed anything for the Iranian people... but then neither would his opposition... The whole system is corrupt with power vested in the hands of Mullahs...

Cactus: Democratic choices? Between what? Which Mullah has a longer Beard? Oh paleese !!!

Someone has to care because if it was left up to you and your medieval buddies in Hizb women's rights would be up there with Free Presbyterian comedians in the pantheon of contradictions in terms.

I am including her the two published images of Reiss that I can find, the first is of her
at home : France demands release of student Clotilde Reiss by Tehran - Times Online

The second is a shot taken during the part of her trial that led to the confession:
French student Clotilde Reiss's ‘confession’ at Iran court sparks outrage - Times Online

Now what the fck is going on that people are being used as pawns to underscore the
election results and thus the direction that a theocracy wishes to take?

and I specially liked the Hizb touch... I have seen this touch in another person who resorts to labelling when he has no argument... His name is Liam Egan Mujaahid

Irrespective of what you believe about this case, the facts remain that Iran is:

    1. Ruled by a Theocracy, the Presidential elections, even if as free and fair as in Japan or New Zealand, are still a sham because an unelected, artifical religious 'leader' maintains supreme authority.
    2. Disinterested in human rights.
    3. Led by a 'President' who has plenty in common with his old rival George W Bush in that their election had to be sanctioned by a 'higher' power. Neither, in my opinion, won anything.

Any attempt to bring down this dictatorship is to be applauded and one could even say that the onus is morally on the US to foster revolution seeing as their idiot support of the brutal Shah led to the rise of such scum as Khomeini to preeminence.

Iranian people are, by and large, ready for a change it would seem. The Revolution, like so many, merely replaced one brutal dictatorship for another. The average person is still oppressed, but hey, they rile the US and Israel and thats worth a lot to some people.

Nevermind the torture, beatings, censorship, rapes, intolerance etc., so long as they are sticking it to the US then its all good, yeah?

So you dont understand the difference between labelling based on no proof and facts with ample evidence...

Theres nothing contradictory mate... You dont know anything about me other than perhaps that I come here and post with my original name and kick your butt with no fear from the likes of you and a dozen other bafoons on this forum... That should tell you something about me but you obviously dont get it...

As for you... Well lets just say that a lot (and I mean a lot) of people here know you as a scumbag... working hard as Uncle Sam's dog... That rabied part of Uncle Sam that goes around killing women and children and men for no reason other than they are Muslims... You are someone who talks about insulting women wearing hijab and then you have the audacity to talk about women's rights...

Its obvious that your engagement on this topic of Iran has nothing to do with women rights... Be clear about your intentions and motivations and dont try to be something which you are not...

    Peace
