But nothing in any EU treaty can affect the application in Ireland of Article 40.3.3 (the 'right to life' article) of the Constitution of Ireland.

That's a protocol that's been written into EU treaties since the Maastricht Treaty (1992?) and is written into the Treaty of Lisbon.

The EU has no role to play in the area of abortion and no EU law or ruling from the EU's Courts can affect Article 40.3.3's operation in Ireland.

So we have not even signed up to Lisbon II and these "swedes" think they can force us to make our laws acceptable to them? From a country that only in the 60's gave up its eugenics program; its a bit rich.

You do know how those EU laws, directives and regulations are created..... don't you?
"Elite - a small superior group; esp one that has a power out of proportion to its size." (Oxford English Dictionary)

The majority cannot therefore be the elite.
