Marwa Sherbini : 'The Hijab martyr'.

BBC NEWS | Middle East | Egypt mourns 'headscarf martyr'

Marwa Sherbini was attacked in a German court at three months pregnant. She had been due to give evidence
against the man who killed her, he had been fined for calling her an islamic terrorist.

Ok I don't get this, the man was driven by a deep hatred of Islam and managed to stab a pregnant woman (who was suing him)
18 times in an open court, wherein the only other injuries were gunshot injuries sustained by Sherbini's husband?

People are understandably upset in Egypt where her body was returned for burial today:

Do German courts not search psychotics when they are standing trial for incitement, violence and death threat?

I am presuming that Axel W was some class of a f*uckwit neo-nazi, who managed to murder a woman in a courtroom and
despite his history of violence was not searched for the knife?

There's very little on this situation online at the moment, save for blogs.

This is the kind of thing that some of the regular posters on p.ie would like to happen in Ireland too... and then they could blame it on the woman wearing the scarf...

When you have politicians in this country who are so intolerant and fanatical against the muslim scarf, its hardly a surprise a psychopath actually does this kind of a thing...

Oh trust me there are quite a few... I have met a few of them and I can understand Alan Shatter a zionist trying to stir up a debate on the Burqa at a time when Israeli offensive of this year is being discussed in the Dail... He is a well known supporter of the child killing regime of Israel... but I have never been able to understand some of the other not so zionist politicians jumping up and down like clowns when the head scarf is mentioned to them...

Can anyone tell me why they act like this?

My views on violence against women and the hijab are quite complex , so I am not going into them here- nor will I bring
    Shatter into the issue.

The question I asked was quite clear- how did he get a knife into the court?

I have to go through x-rays at the four courts for simple civil or whatever type of case- this was a case of violence and this
man carried a knife into a court. He then stabbed a pregnant woman 18 times and the only other injured was her husband
who was shot by a court cop/security.

Thanks for response but it is that issue I wished to focus on- in the OP and comment.

Hi Dot... Yes you are right my response was a more general "sigh" rather than replying to your specific question...

Its a mystery to me as well... Its shocking that this kind of thing happened in a court of law!!! worse this man has now been charged under "manslaughter"... Is law that pathetic in Germany? People can get away with savagery like this? He stabbed her 18 times for God sake... what manslaughter??

There was also a five year old child in the court, now in Ireland all people visiting courts (in the Four courts) go through X-ray
and their bag does too. My bag has been manually searched too !

They even now if ye are menstruating by x-raying your bag: how the fck did some man carry a knife into a court and stab a
pregnant woman 18 times in modern europe???

Theres not enough info on the perpetrator save that he's a male and I would put money on it that
he's a known Neo and probably a gang member- more reason to search him going into court??

Maybe he is mentally not well. I have just the film Civic Duty where a guy is unbalanced and picks on his Arab neighbour.

Sure Germany is a fairly civilised country (mostly, 8 decades out of 10), not like the animals we have here.....

As someone who would like to see the burka banned from public places, I would like to express my horror and sadness at this brutal killing.
It seems from Al Jazeera that it was a racist attack and the fact that it happened in a courtroom says something about the German court system.
A horrific crime. My thoughts and sympathies are with that woman and her family at this terrible time.
And Dr Qasim Afridi's comment: "this is the kind of thing that some of the regular posters on p.ie would like to happen in Ireland too..." is contemptible.
