As someone who would like to see the burka banned from public places, I would like to express my horror and sadness at this brutal killing.
It seems from Al Jazeera that it was a racist attack and the fact that it happened in a courtroom says something about the German court system.
A horrific crime. My thoughts and sympathies are with that woman and her family at this terrible time.
And Dr Qasim Afridi's comment: "this is the kind of thing that some of the regular posters on p.ie would like to happen in Ireland too..." is contemptible.

Any woman in a Niqab or Burqa deserves to be ridiculed. This isn't Afghanistan or Yemen. They should make some effort to fit in. Some of these women deliberatly look for trouble to play the victim card.
