    I was about to say the exact same thing. He would be more visible if he went and sat in the EPP-ED.

    The rumours came from a blog article posted by a Plaid Cymru MP, Adam Price. According to him, he raised the issue with Sean Oliver, Sinn Fein's European Director. Oliver told him that an approach had already been made by the EFA.

    As I said when the rumour surfaced here, I think that Sinn Fein would fit in politically with the EFA but I don't think that such a switch is likely. Membership of the UEL gains SF a bit of "left" street cred and keeps the left of the party happy without costing anything.
