BNP win first Euro seat in the UK

Just declared in Yorkshire and the Humber

Andrew Brons, BNP elected (BBC have stated he's ex National Front and has previously stated that he was willing to go to jail before letting a "black man" into a National Front meeting.

Hopefully not a significant sign of a shift to the right and just a protest at the multiple scandals in the UK parliament.

During his speech he mentiond the Irish Lisbon vote.. complaining about the potential second referendum.. friends like these?

Yorkshire & Humber was the third least likely constituency to return a BNP candidate.

Nick Griffin (BNP leader) is certain of getting elected in Northwest England and the BNP candidate in West Midlands is highly likely to get elected. London and the East Midlands are also possible gains for BNP but are unlikely.

Do note however that the split of the vote in Yorkshire & Humber favoured the BNP. In particular votes for smaller parties (which were essentially wasted votes) meant that the BNP won a seat with 10% of the vote. Of course a large number of the votes for smaller parties were for fairly right-wing parties competing (to an extent) with the BNP such as the English Democrats.

An alliance with SF's DeBrun on the cards? These ultra nationalists have a lot in common.

Nicely put. Hopefully the f*cking scumbags end up like some of the UKIP MEPs: on trial or doing time.
