I was just browsing Libertas's glossy blue website when I came across Eline van den Broek's blog, in which she supports torture:
Even if that means a suspect is put under pressure to give details of plans. Sometimes there is not enough time to relax a criminal and it is better to get a confession. Let us not forget that these terrorists are trained in camps not to break during an interview. Traditional methods have no effect on these hardened men and women. Must innocent people die because the police treat the terrorists with a kid gloves approach?I choose peace and security
Yet it happens. And not in naïve, non-cities like Sydney or Stockholm, but in cities more terrorists have visited in London the IRA, ETA in Madrid. And still managed to place bombs and killing people. I believe that European citizens must be protected against such attacks, against such criminals who on the backs of innocent people to make their point. And therefore, if the choice is between saving civilians or torture, I say: then torture. With pain in the heart, but determined. For those citizens who are entitled to protection, security and peace.
Her blog on torture: Libertas's Dutch candidate is pro Cheney when it comes to "putting pressure on" to extract information:

This website contains a link to a radio broadcast where she defends her view and says that if elected she would put this on the EU agenda:

The danger of voting for a mixed pack with no manifesto is that you simply don't know what you're voting for.
Torture:
Its not moral
It's inhuman
It isn't legal
It doesn't work.
