frankly people might be a bit more impressed if she did say she worked on a previous ref campaign.

Simon's leaflet informs us of just three things about her - she's a solicitor, a governor of a maternity hospital and she's had five kids. The only thing that Simons tells us about her children - twice - is how many she's had. Not even a sentence with details of gender, ages, what they do, what they like; just a faceless number. So I don't think this counts as "personal color".

And if she just wanted to mention she's a mother, why not just say that?

Perhaps the suggestion is that she would be less likely than Mary Lou to disappear for long stretches of maternity leave ?

God: she's not going to have another five is she ?

Ah would ya quit taking faux offence on behalf of the inner city.

You must know that internet usage, especially to garner information about serious subjects, is strongly correlated with certain demographics. Younger and better educated to be specific.

The aul wans of Dublin Central are much more likely to form an impression from a leaflet drop or a doorstop canvas as opposed to the candidate's website.

And if you don't agree with that, why not suggest to Labour head-office that they save a whole heap of time & money by restricting their campaigns to just an on-line presence?

The more I look at that statement, the weirder it gets! I'm pretty certain those are not the only two choices.

Yeah; I bet there are no pro-life people who are pro-death penalty either.

I think don't think she is really serious about being an MEP...it's all a branding exercise and she is actually gunning to host the Late Late Show, now that Miriam is out of the running and Pat's not too pleased with Tubby filling his diapers

Not in Ireland. American evangelicals have been known to voice support for it alright.
