    Mary Lou vs Eoin Ryan

    Hi there.

In light of inflicting as much damage to the government as possible, would people consider giving any preference to Mary Lou to assist her in getting the third MEP seat ahead of Eoin Ryan?

Contemplating such tactical voting, normally an anathema, gives an air of desperation. But desperate times call for desperate measures...

I'm not advocating this, but it's a proposal on the table.

The only way to get FF out is to get Mary Lou in!

I would think that it would be exceptionally surprising if it did not happen. Most people will surely vote down the card, in order to get Eoin Ryan out.

12 years of FF and look at the mess. Also people seem to be forgetting that the cuts and tax increases have not balanced the budget and far more are planned in the coming years.

The only way to get the message across to the FF/Green government is to hit them at the ballot box. I especailly think the greens are starting to waver and a bad vote for them, combined with a good vote for green independents, will also send a strong message.

I don't know. The B***h just doesn't take the EP or EU seriously (based on her staggeringly low attendance). I hate those candidates who have one eye on a Dáil seat.

Just vote the 'No' candidates in order of your preference and the vote will get to her in transfers if that is how it shapes up. If one the other candidates like Patricia McKenna, Joe Higgins etc are your real first choice then do not be afraid of using the PR-STV system to see your vote transfer that way if that is how it pans out. You do not necessarily have to give Mary Lou your No.1, just ensure that you transfer to her ahead of 'Yes' candidates.

You must really hate Gay Mitchell so - he held both a Dail and MEP seat simultaneously for 3 years 2004-07.

Given that she was voted MEP of the year last year by her fellow MEPs', and has also voted for full declaration of expenses, as opposed to the ever sleazy Gay Mitchell - guess he has too many things to hide that he has been putting on expenses.

Watch your language, you may have been rasied with that kind of talk at home, but you are in a public space now.

whilst i'm generally all for giving FF a good ass kicking, should we not consider the relevance of the election they are standing for somewhat ? apart from further damaging the moral of FF and credibility of its leader, i cannot think of a good reason to vote for MLM ahead of ER in the euro's in Dublin
Enda Kenny on FF government: “We’re in this mess, not because Fianna Fáil policies have failed, but because they have succeeded.”
