Libertas Leaflet of Desperation

Myself and the missus got a leaflet from Declan Ganley in the post today.

Talk about not understanding the psyche of the Irish voter. Has no one told Deco that we don't do negative campaigning in Ireland? Have a listen to this (its in uppercase on the leaflet too):

FIANNA FAIL AND MARIAN HARKIN SIT TOGETHER IN THE ALDE GROUPING IN THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT - A GROUP WHICH OPPOSES THE RIGHT OF THE IRISH PEOPLE TO DECIDE THEIR OWN POLICIES ON SOCIAL ISSUES AND IS HOSTILE TO FARMERS

MARIAN HARKIN USED HER VOTE TO SUPPORT THE ALDE GROUP WHICH HAS CALLED FOR THE TOTAL ABOLITION OF PAYMENTS TO FARMERS

LABOUR (Are Labour in the EP?) VOTED NOT TO RESPECT OUR DEMOCRATIC DECISION ON THE LISBON TREATY

JIM HIGGINS VOTED TO KEEP HIS OWN EXPENSES SECRET

WTF does he think is? The Iowa Caucuses?

What next? A TV ad showing Jim Higgins wearing a turban?
A demagogue is someone who will preach doctrines he knows to be untrue to men he knows to be idiots.

That looks like a good leaflet to me.

As regards us Irish (what's left of us here) not doing negative campaigning, if you or any of your skunk Fianna Fail Mass Immigrationists come to my door I'll teach you the meaning of negative campaigning!

Fianna Fail the Rat Pack. That's too positive for them.

It is going to be very interesting to see if the Libertas style of campaign works. I have no problem whatsoever with voting records being used.

Having endured a few local candidates who are only interested in finding out if I need any favours doing I think it's welcome that somebody is mixing it up.

Same type of thing from Caroline Simons. Says the same thing about Labour and Fianna Fail(without the bit about farmers)
Also says:
FINE GAEL MEPS VOTED TO ABOLISH IRELAND'S CORPORATE TAX RATE - OUR ONLY TOOL TO ATTRACT MULTINATIONAL COMPANIES WHICH EMPLOYED OVER 150,000 PEOPLE LAST YEAR

And:
DUBLIN MEPS COST OVER €8.4 MILLION OF TAX-PAYERS' MONEY IN THE LAST 5 YEARS... WERE THEY WORTH IT?

Ganley is a poisonous lying toad. What else would you expect from one of his leaflets?

Excellent vote of confidence in the the highly educated and skilled workforce of Microsoft, HP, Intel etc...

I'm sure they'll love Caroline for that one.

Where is the count for the NW?

I'd really like to go along and tell his weasel what I think of him, preferably after he gets eliminated at the first count with a haul of 300 votes.

This sort of extreme and irresponsible populism has no place in Irish politics.

I can't believe that he actually thinks farmers are going to vote for him. How naive is he?

Negative campaigning has been used in Ireland before and it does work. You either agree with Fianna Fail policies and support them or you do not and attack them.
I do not think Libertas will step that far over the PC line by showing Jim Higgins wearing a turban.
