Although it does give me a tinge of joy it is important to note that corruption is or at least was pretty rife in virtually every party so it's not like it's anything that special.

Saw that already. He's an MEP and was second on their list in the Czech Republic.

The last poll I've seen for the European elections there had Libertas at 0.8%.

So they could be looking at close to zero if this has a negative impact.

Are the IT setting out its stall or has that already been established? As recently as the 1950s the IT were advertising for 'Protestant only' vacancies in Dublin. (I don't mean places to live but jobs).

Anyway, if tax evasion riles us we'd already be up in arms.

    Small, Christian, irrelevant.

Soon to be informed about their new comrades-in-arms in the LPR!

Apparently he is to tender his resignation from Libertas. As Fianna Fail and Fine Gael know from experience, no party can vouch for the good conduct of 100% of their members. This is just one candidate, and in no way impacts on the elections in Ireland. However, the anti-Lisbon Free Citizens Party is expected to do well. The priority is getting as many anti-Lisbon MEPs elected as possible. And Marmurr1916, the 0.8% I understand was a forecast rather than a poll, and was by analysts, not necessarily impartial at that. The only poll that matters will be the election itself. The 2007 GE made that especially clear.

He's resigned from the Libertas list as a result of the conviction.

CM why don't you folk have a Candidate in South? Is it due to Sinnott running as an Indo/anti Lisbon?
