Libertas website in Czech Republic occupied by historical re-enactment society

Naoise Nunn said of Declan Ganley in today's Irish Times

"He devours history books. He is absolutely fascinated by all of it.”
Perhaps it's fitting then that the Libertas website in the Czech Republic seems to have been squatted on by some kind of historical society.

    Libertas.cz

People will recall Declan Ganley's speech some years ago where he warned of the dangers of Islamic fundamentalism, and said that it could only be overcome by a series of wars, echoing the Crusades, against Islamic states, aided by a Churchillian war effort and a conscripted army. (This speech was quoted at length by Village Magazine some months back.)

It seems appropriate, then, that the Libertas.cz homepage carries a number of photographs of what seems to be a re-enactment of the Crusades.

I presume the Libertas folk will refer to Naoise Nunn's betrayal as "turning Turk".

    What are you on about?

The site is owned by the historical re-enactment society who owned it long before Declan Ganley and co. appeared on the scene:

Ganley has no monopoly on the name Libertas, not even as a name for a political party.

Libertas.co.uk is a lesbian book shop.
Every one sees what you appear to be, few really know what you are, and those few dare not oppose themselves to the opinion of the many, who have the majesty of the state to defend them.

Libertas UK is a political party registered by associates of UKIP's leadership. That's why Ganley's Libertas uses the name 'New Dawn for Europe: libertas.eu' in the UK.

I really don't care. All I know is is that we don't have enough excuse to mention online lesbian bookshops on this site.

Actually their official name as a party in the official British Register of political parties is 'Pro Democracy: Libertas.eu'.

They've also registered the following party descriptions:

    Declan Ganley's Libertas.eu
    L21
    New Dawn For Europe:Libertas.eu
    Pan-European: Libertas.eu

That party name is not registered to fight the European elections in Northern Ireland.

They operate under the name 'Libertas NI' there.
