Naoise Nunn is just another spoofer who loses his bottle when he discovers that the wind direction has changed. He has discovered that too close an association with Deklan Ganloopy is very bad for a career in spinning, PR or whatever other sh ite this numpty is up to now.

Thats really damaging I got to say. I would like to know what his written critique contained. If Dave does not mind me saying Libertas made a load of mistakes in Lisbon 1. For example it seemed at one point as if the campaign was being used in part as a personal dig by one person at Lucinda Creighton for no other reason that there was a bit of history between the pair of them. There are many others but that is a glaring one.

    Interesting ,but not surprising.

The company that Libertas are currently keeping, and Ganley's current modus operandi of "who you believe? me or your lying eyes and ears?" is doing the whole project untold damage.

    Good stuff.

Now, in a spirit of true repentance, he should make amends for his sins by working for the Yes side.

Both sides were guilty, he said, of “scare-mongering and misinformation” during the referendum campaign. Mr Nunn, who was one of the central figures in Libertas’s campaign last year, is understood to have written a detailed critique of Libertas’s performance last year for Mr Ganley’s attention before his departure last year.

However, Mr Nunn declined to reveal its contents yesterday: “I am not into washing dirty linen in public. I did work for Libertas. I was an employee. I was doing my job. I put the arguments out.”

A No vote in the referendum, which is expected to take place in October, would be “dangerous for the country, but I don’t think frankly that that is going to happen”. However, he said he had not changed his view that the EU is “disconnected” from its citizens, though he raised questions about “much vaunted” efforts to communicate a clear message to them.

Asked why he had referred to Libertas as having “dirty linen”, Mr Nunn said: “I don’t want to be specific about that. They are people I worked with. They are people I don’t want to hurl abuse at.”
And give that dirty linen a good airing.

He was an effective part of the no side. A pity to lose him.

I think he is being fair in not criticising Ganley or Libertras and that like a lot of no-voters, he has come to realise that Ireland cannot afford a second "No" vote.

The EU is the only show in town for us, the alternative, aligning further with the UK, would set us back 40 years.

Good post Euro by the way

Though it dont take a weather man to see which way the wind blows

Naoise \Nunn did not back down when ganley contradicted him over who paid him to work on Libertas ie rivada, he also did so despite the risk that as election director he was in fact in the firing line re SIPO. that was an honourable act on his behalf.

he stands out in that respect among ganley's early Libertas employees. we have not seen David Cochrane doing the same. If he holds out for the people to speak it will look bad for him. Nunn has weathered this one and in October he further added fuel to the fire by not availing of an opportunity to back up Ganley's story re Rivada /Libertas again despite potential SIPO trouble for him personally.

According to insiders he was aware that he had got into bed with "strange people" too late but got out as soon as...............this announcement coming at the time it does will only raise his standing and restore his credibility.
McGuirk and Cochrane will be toast though.
Nunn has previously embarrassed Ganley by remaining truthful about his being employed (i.e. his pay checks came from) Mr Ganley's US Defence contracting firm Rivada. When Ganley tried to deflect from this Naoise Nunn stuck to the truth earning the admiration of many people including this blogger.

This volte face has been coming for sometime. This blogger can now report that close associates of Mr Nunn's spoke of his unease towards the end of last summer and shortly thereafter Mr. Nunn resigned from Libertas.

Mr. Nunn stating that people should vote Yes for the Lisbon Treaty is a signal to the thirty somethings of Ireland's chattering classes that Mr. Ganley's vision is dead and we must move on.

It will also mark something of a rehabilitation of Naoise Nunn's reputation amongst many who had deeply respected him prior to his working for Mr. Ganley. You can keep up to date with Leviathan events on their official website http://www.leviathan.ie/

Libertas spin doctor advised McGuinness on 'Late Late'

NAOISE Nunn has been busily tweeting on his 'Twitter' site amid the continued fall-out from the junior ministerial reshuffle.

SACKED junior minister John McGuinness turned to a spindoctor who masterminded the Lisbon Treaty 'No' campaign for his public vote of no confidence in Tanaiste Mary Coughlan.

Mr McGuinness hired a former key adviser to Declan Ganley to assist him in his campaign after his dismissal, which culminated in his 'Late Late Show' appearance where he also criticised Taoiseach Brian Cowen's leadership.

The former executive director of Libertas, Naoise Nunn, was a high-profile opponent of the Lisbon Treaty last year.
