yes, because those media people know nothing of the expense of sending TV crews and reporters along to events just for token mentions. You've got to get outside your parochial world view and realise that there are 26 other countries in the EU and very few of them read the Irish Times.

I'm speaking from experience. When I was campaigning with the Alliance for Europe we generally had a lot of media present but relatively little of what we did and said was actually reported in the mainstream media. If the Irish media can't find time for Libertas I find it hard to believe that all 26 other countries are so desperate to hear what Ganley has to say.

Have you met this guy Cookie? I have seen him speak. He is a pretty opprobrious character. Of course, a decent chap if you think that homosexuality is criminal.

First of all, having a former member is a direct 'link'. If his policies are the same then it is an indisputable link. This head of office to whom you yourself refer, could you get him on the record distancing himself with the homophobic and xenophobic policies of his former party? Can you get him to admit that he was wrong to take part in anti-gay demonstrations? If so, then I would be willing to consider that the link is diminished.

Please point out where I said there was alliance. I never did. What is, however, fact is that Libertas has courted a number of members of the Polish Families, whilst they were still members, to run for Libertas. That is fact and you know it. Does this mean that Libertas shares its politics? If not, why was it courting its members?

Reams of evidence have been posted about the League of Polish Families. For crying out loud, one of Libertas's EU funding submission representatives was a member and top man in their nauseating antisemitic youth league.

Reams of evidence of what exactly? Is that bloke a candidate? No. Is he a principle of that party in any role? No. Did he do anything save signing a document to allow Libertas to submit an application to be recognised as a party at a European level? No.

There's no link, get over it.

He runs the office in Poland. I didn't mention the head office.

My hoop it is. Fianna Fail would be very upset to hear this, as would Fine Gael, Labour, the Conservatives, UK Labour and numerous other political parties though Europe who now have direct links to Libertas.

Lots of "facts" about Libertas are anything but. This LPR nonsense is yet more of the same. It's simply not true.

Cyprian Gutowski: one of a bunch of unsavoury representatives of Libertas, in its failed application for EU funding.

Declan Ganley and the Nationalist Right - Spinelli's Footsteps

Gutowski is a leading member of the youth wing of the LPF: nazi salutes and gay bashing among their documented activities.

How could someone "accidentally" hook up with this man?

Yes, he signed the application. Nobody is denying that. Big swinging mickey. Is he a candidate? No. Does he have an active role in Libertas? No.

Sorry Cookiemonster, but you are entirely wrong. He didn't just sign a round robin, he was Libertas's representative in their application for EU funding. That is not a casual or inactive relationship.

The Bulgarian Party, Attac, is just as distasteful, and the Finnish and French parties are also deeply xenophobic parties.
