Good to see you predicting an SF retention.
RIRA not in my name-Traitors to Ireland MMcGuinness; People are entitled to cultural & social equality MLMcDonald; We have a length to go understanding unionism GAdams
but can SF and Labour come up with strong candidates, with instant face and name recognition, I don't think so. Ferris for example will do well in Kerry, but I can't see him gathering anymore votes outside SF pockets in Limerick, Cork and Tipp.
I don't think Martin Ferris is running. His daughter is though.
I think that she will have a bit more recognition than Crowley et al.

That is an interesting prospect. Munster may not be as straightforward then as people think. If a momentum builds behind her at all Crowley may well be in trouble. The one thing a politician fears is for people to think the seat is safe.

I think that I read somewhere that Crowley might want to run for the presidency. The problem for MEPs is that exile to Brussels effectively takes them out of the Irish political scene and people quickly forget. And then they forget to vote for them.
