Does he have no pals in Manchester?
Ah, yes. Never let the best be the enemy of the good.
Chris Andrews TD on Newstalk this morning is right - there's an over emphasis on Ganley in this debate, and the real issues that need to be addressed are the Irish peoples' concerns about Europe. The public are also well aware of the failure of FF and FG to disclose the source of most of their funding through below-disclosure-requirement donations. SIPO says they have only revealed 13% and 7% respectively of where their money is coming from. So people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, and the only reaction from the majority of Irish voters to this issue when hearing Dick Roche banging on about it like a broken-record player again will be to hazard a smile if not to burst out laughing at the spectacle of FF questioning the ethics of another organisation's funding arrangements. The irony is not lost on us.![]()
Thats a fairly dumb thing for Ganley to say - MEPs are protected from defamation litigation.Originally Posted by sindo

Whilst that is true the funding issue is important.Originally Posted by FutureTaoiseach
