According to Newstalk this morning the Polish President has said that he will not sign the Lisbon Treaty into Law after it's rejection in Ireland meaning that Poland cannot now ratify the Treaty.

So the Germans and Czechs have problems with ratification. Now the Poles do as well.... Great

I am amazed no one has been on yet to condemn him as a gypsy hating homophobe who is blocking the sovereign will of his parliament.
Note:
Badboy's guide to democracy:
Country's that ratify Lisbon are effective democracies.
Country's that actually study the text and consult the electorate are full of liars.
This democracy is a mad lark - some gobshi'tes are naive enough to think its purpose is to vest power in the hands of the citizens as opposed to protect the citizens from themselves.
if the czechs sign up and we vote yes in lisbon 2 then i am sure he would sign. poland isnt stubid enough (not like us) to bring it down.
if lisbon goes down and becuae of xzech or poles WE will be ones who will be blamed. this is NOT good news
Ah get away with yeself. Tis great news! Viva le democracie! Are you listening Sarkozy?Originally Posted by monet

3) When the homophobe twins originally tried to block the ratification earlier in the year, Donald Tusk (the PM) threatened to call a general election on the issue. Realising they were completely out of step with public opinion, and facing a meldtown at the polls, the Kacyinski's resiled.
This isn't democracy. Its nothing but petty domestic point-scoring by the Kaczynksi's, who know that their own party is falling apart and won't be a political force beyond the next Presidential election when the Civic Platform (possibly Tusk himself) will kick them out for good
Can the Parliament override him ?

Have they voted on it?1) The vast majority of Poles are in favour of Lisbon
Kaczynski is a bad piece of work, but he has done what Brian Cowen hadn't the guts to do.
