Looks like the French government have a lot in common with our own.
This has reopened the festering row over the president's influence over the media and closeness to his press and TV baron friends who are willing to lean on, censor or even sack journalists who displease him.
For reference, I'll add this bit of french history:
The law "must be the same for all, whether it protects or punishes. All citizens, being equal in its eyes, shall be equally eligible to all high offices, public positions and employments, according to their ability, and without other distinction than that of their virtues and talents." - The Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen of 1789.
Europe stinks these days, something is rotten. It's like a Marxist state developing right in front of us.
