EU to finger-print travellers

Choice: retain second class status* within the Union or...

I'm confused, is this on entry to the EU or to Schengen countries?

However, we are outside the justice and immigration reform of the EU - which is Schengen. As with all things EU, countries can choose to sign up to things or not (although no choice was given to the new EU states).

On the contrary, the new E.U. countries did not need to apply for Schengen status they should/could have maintained parity with (I love showing off my passport but NOT to English border guards and I want to guard my own border and I hate all you foreigners so I am prepared to humbly bow and scrape to you) Ireland.

In regards to border control and things relative the "EU" Means Schengen Area.
In much the same way as “EU Monetary Policy” refers to the eurozone
The terms EU and Schengen are used interchangeably here.
France24 reported this last night and said clearly That it is be required of travellers entering the Schengen Area.

Ireland is exempted from any say in EU border security

These proposals are in there early stages so hopefully Ireland will be within the zone before
