Thread: MEP's to Vote on EU Wide Census Today

    My understanding is that they want to standardise some of the questions on the national censuses rather than have a separate EU-wide census.

    germany doesn't hold any Census at all its ilegal or uncostitutional

    I think the case is that the use of the census information (in west germany) drew concern and the Constitutional court struck the request down.
    They used calculations based on the previous census and population sampling, but they're now planning on having a full census in a few years.
