Greece sought a bailout in March 2010 and Germany insisted that any bailout had to have IMF input.
In April 2010, Greece agreed a bailout with the EU/IMF.
In the two years that have passed since that first bailout Greece has been unable to meet the terms agreed under that initial bailout and subsequent amendments agreed with the EU/IMF under that deal.
Good money after bad? For sure, this has been the case with Greece.
When it became apparent that Greece were unable to adhere to the terms of the deal (in late 2010 and early 2011) decisive action should have been taken.
Instead, nearly a year has gone by and Greece is still in the same situation that it was in April 2010.
