I will never vote for something which will curtail Irish nationhood.

You know, if the Pro-EUers fail here, then they wouldn't have a hope in a real referendum.

No way do i want to give more power to the EU look how they F**ked up the whole thing, what we need in Europe is less centralized control not more!! Case and point the euro. i liked the EU bout 10 years ago, but now i see the real agenda of a USE. something that tinfoil hats were laughed at for years when mentioned

    You miss my point.

Your thread is an assumption (punt pegged to sterling) resting on an unknowable (nature and design of this USE).

It is wildly speculative and impossible to draw any conclusions from the thread/poll as you have totally failed to define the parameters of your debate.

It is wooly and unclear, do you understand?

I would prefer to see an United States of Europe.

I would prefer one ministry of finance and social services based on the German model.

I want to see an European ministry of research and development with a minimum spend of 3% of GDP of Europe.

I want to see all ministers and people in charge of each European Union department being directly elected to the European Union parliament as MEPs and European government being choosen from those directly elected representatives.

People such as Peter Madelson should never even have been allowed into the European beaurocracy, let alone appointed to a senior position.

We will have a United Europe regardless. A USE is better than a Franco-German alliance telling the rest of us what to do.

I didn't vote for Merkel or Sarkozy.

Texans are part of a Federal USA and I dare you to tell them that their "nationhood" has been diminished in any way?
